About HOSPICE

Paying For Hospice?

Medicare and Medicaid pay for Hospice care at 100%. All services under hospice and covered by your benefit. All HMO and replacement plans also cover the hospice company of your choice. Insurance companies also pay for hospice. Individual benefits just need to be verified by our billing specialties.

Admission Criteria

We have trained staff in all of our locations to help assess if  you, or your loved one, is appropriate for hospice. By calling our team, we can work with our physicians and the physicians you know and trust to make sure the right plan of care is reached for you and your family.

Your Doctor With Hospice

If you have a family doctor or a specialist you would like involved in your care, you can continue to do so. Hospice can coordinate with another physician while you are on services and receiving Palliative Care.

What if I get Sick?

Hospice staff treats all patients with dignity and respect. The goal is not to shorten life, but to change the way we treat patients. We treat all symptoms of our patients, including things like infections, colds, wounds, etc.

What If I Change My Mind?

We would like to make sure that patients are ready for hospice when they choose our services by asking the right questions and helping families make informed decisions, but sometimes things change. Patients have the right to change their mind about hospice and enter back into curative care at any time. Patients and their loved ones are alwayss in control of their care.

Our Responsibility

  • To provide Care where the Patient lives. We provide care in Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing and Group Homes. We also have qualified staff that can help transition patients at any time if a living situation becomes unmanageable.
  • To follow the plan of care agreed upon between patient, family, and physician.
  • To coordinate with patient, family, and facility staff every clinical visit.
  • To serve as a resource to help coordinate care if other services are needed in respect to Hospice care.
